What if I’m actively in my addiction? Do I need to quit before I take this course?
No, you don’t have to quit first. If you’re contemplating taking this course, it means you’re moving toward quitting. This course can help you move toward your recovery. You can use it as a means of harm reduction that will gradually wean you off of your addiction as you forgive yourself and others. The more you forgive, the more healed you will be and the less you’ll lean on your addiction. Try it!
What if I’ve already quit and I’ve been in recovery for a while?
This course is perfect for you. It will help you go deeper into what recovery is all about: a healthy, happy, sane, productive new life! As you experience forgiveness of yourself and others, you will uncover some of the reasons why you became addicted in the first place. You will see with fascination the family dynamics at play, and how you can help others by shining your light. All of this will strengthen your recovery and open up your creativity and life purpose.
Why is the deep letting go of forgiveness important?
Forgiveness offers you a way to heal your past memories, so you can be more present, more alive, and more compassionate. You’ll have more fun in life, instead of being stuck in the pain of things that happened in the past. Your spiritual connection will open up in a whole new way. This non-religious process works well for forgiving yourself as well as others, traumatic events, accidents, divorce, etc.
Who can use forgiveness and emotional healing effectively?
Anyone who has the desire to heal can bring peace into their lives. It doesn’t matter what culture you’re from, how old you are, or how long ago the painful or addictive incident happened. As long as you use H.O.W. and are Honest, Open and Willing, you can use the simple gift of forgiveness to completely change your life.
When is a good time to let go of my pain?
The best time is really up to each person. I never tell people that they “should” forgive. You’ll forgive when you're good and ready, and not a moment before. Anytime is a good time! (NOW is a perfect time!) It doesn’t take long, and it isn’t hard. It DOES help to have a map and some guidance along the path, so that you can get the most out of the process. In addition, the expanded, radical model probably isn’t what you’re used to, so some practice and training to get into a new mindset is necessary.
I’ve already relapsed a lot and been through rehab. How is this course going to help me?
It can be really frustrating and demoralizing to feel that all you have to look forward to is more relapse and more rehab (if you an afford it). The inner form of forgiveness taught in this course is free once you learn it. It’s always available, always helpful and always healing.
Relapse is actually a natural part of the process of recovery. Each time you dabble back into your habit, you learn how much you don’t want to be chained to your addictive pattern, and each time you can rise up higher into increased health and happiness. Learning to let go of your misery and self-doubt will make this whole process go much, much faster and will strengthen your inner trust in your own innate goodness and the support you have from Life itself.
What are the benefits of forgiveness?
There have been a lot of scientific studies about forgiveness in the last few years. Many benefits have been consistently shown in these studies. Keep in mind they’re based on using traditional forgiveness – your spiritual results will be even better with this form of expanded forgiveness. Some of them are:
• lower blood pressure
• stress reduction
• less hostility
• better anger management skills
• lower heart rate
• lower risk of alcohol or substance abuse
• fewer depression symptoms
• fewer anxiety symptoms
• reduction in chronic pain
• boosts your immune response
• more friendships
• healthier relationships
• greater religious or spiritual well-being
• improved psychological well-being

If you read the list above, you’ll see that all of these benefits describe a healthy, happy, connected person. Imagine if everyone on Earth learned to forgive!
I don’t know if I’m ready to let go of my painful memories. What should I do?
See if any of these pre-requisites apply to you. You’re ready to radically forgive when
• you feel that letting go of your pain, fear and sorrow is better than holding on to it
• you want to learn about and heal any unhealthy, difficult patterns in your life - including addictions -
that stem from a painful past.
• you want a big, healthy, joyful change in your life
• you deeply desire to say YES! to Life
